According to a recent study conducted and shared by Graphite, an international agency that develops scalable growth engines for tech companies, in November 2024, the number of articles written by AI had surpassed, albeit slightly, those written by flesh-and-blood humans. Although this revelation is not particularly surprising, the confirmation of a real fear, shared by several creative figures in the professional field, has sown the seeds of concern among those responsible.

The study showed how the growth in artificially generated articles coincided with the launch of the famous ChatGPT chatbot in November 2022. After a year, articles generated by artificial intelligence already accounted for almost half (39%) of published articles.

The research also pointed out that most of these texts do not appear on Google or ChatGPT itself, indicating that their success is presumably poor. According to the study's findings, the authors shared a certain expectation that this trend would fail, as it is likely that those who used this method found the results unsatisfactory in terms of the success of the articles in question.
