Activists Are Using AI To ‘Identify’ ICE Officers And That’s Definitely Not Good News

‘If you are doing something that you believe cannot be done safely with your face completely uncovered, then you are doing the wrong thing.’ This simple sentence sums up the entire meaning of the article we are presenting today. The political situation in the United States is currently rather complex and tending towards eternal conflict. It could be described as ‘on a war footing’ - a war that is not its own.

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East between the State of Israel and Palestine is an endless succession of violence in which, as in any war, it is the “ordinary” people who suffer, those who dream only of returning home in the evening to find their families safe and sound. In the face of injustice, opinions gain power, prompting young people to make their voices heard, especially those who can do so from outside the line of fire.

To silence dissenting voices, ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents began to “disappear” those brave enough to assert their opinions. However, the agents in question acted only and exclusively with their faces covered. In response, a group of activists began using AI software to identify the agents.
