Life moves too fast, work is never-ending, time marches on relentlessly, leaving us behind. We miss out on chances, energy, opportunities because, at the end of the day, we only have one brain, and we don't have enough mental energy to keep up with everything. So, why not delegate some tasks to a second brain?

Three former Google X scientists recently announced the result of their latest project, an artificial intelligence-based app designed to provide users with a kind of virtual “second brain”. The software, called “TwinMind”, was developed by Daniel George, Sunny Tang and Mahi Karim, and works in a rather unusual way. The application remains open in the background to “listen to the user's conversations” (with their permission), then builds a sort of “scheme containing the user's personal knowledge”.

In doing so, TwinMind obtains the information necessary to help the user in their daily and professional life. It is then able to generate notes, to-do lists and solutions to any problems; the creators have also specified that the app can “listen” for about 17 hours without draining the device's battery.
