Even after death, no one is safe from artificial intelligence or the hegemony of large companies. Spotify, one of the most widely used music streaming services in the world, recently published an artificially generated song on the official page of Blaze Foley, an American country music singer-songwriter. Sadly, the man was murdered in 1989.

Craig McDonald, owner of Lost Art Records, the label responsible for distributing Foley's music and his Spotify page, was unpleasantly surprised by this sudden upload. The song in question is titled “Together” and, despite featuring a country singer, a piano, and an electric guitar, it does not even remotely reflect the style and passion that Foley conveyed through his art.

Following McDonald's report, Spotify stated that it had contacted SoundOn, a music distributor owned by Tiktok mainly used to upload music to the platform. The latter responded by stating that it had removed the content and the user responsible for it.
