Rob Friedlander, official spokesperson for OpenAI, a renowned company specializing in artificial intelligence, recently confirmed a series of data regarding ChatGPT's performance reported by Axios, an American news outlet. According to the aforementioned website, the famous chatbot receives around 2.5 billion requests daily, 330 million of which come exclusively from the United States.
The data also shows that the number of requests sent annually by users of the model amounts to approximately 912.5 billion. The sum is undoubtedly staggering and, although it does not come close to the annual searches carried out on the much more famous Google search platform, whose data suggests a total of 5 trillion, the rapid rise of the chatbot still represents a valid threat.
A recent article by Reuters also mentioned OpenAI's intention to release an AI-based search browser in the coming weeks, officially entering into competition with Google.
