During the first few days of June, the Wikimedia Foundation decided to completely turn around the spirit of one of the most valuable information platforms in the vast world of the Internet, Wikipedia itself.
Known since time immemorial, and hopefully forever, as an unrelenting source of knowledge shared and edited by its editors, flesh-and-blood humans who devote their time and energy to checking the veracity of what is written, reading and re-reading articles to ensure quality content for its users, Wikipedia has established itself in the collective consciousness as the world's all-encompassing encyclopedia.
However, following the growing trend of implementing artificial intelligence in, almost literally, any digital medium that will allow it, the Wikimedia Foundation decided to introduce point-blank a feature that presented the user with an artificially generated summary of pages read by users. Following an intensely negative reaction from the editors, however, the feature was promptly removed.
