Every day, thousands of people report acts of stalking, concealed figures walking in their steps, malicious individuals who cross the line at every good opportunity, becoming a constant presence in their existence. Stalking is characterized by a wide variety of opinions on the part of law enforcement, in some places it is immediately considered a priority, however, in most cases they tend to dismiss it as quickly as possible.
Police in Cheshire, UK, recently implemented artificial intelligence within their work process, leveraging the many capabilities of this growing technology to detect and identify suspicious patterns of behavior in the early stages of stalking investigations.
The head of the unit dedicated to this type of crime was at pains to specify that the technology in question will not replace human operators, but rather “enhance” what agents already do.
