The beginning of 2025 has brought with it a variety of news in the tech sphere, from updates to popular artificial intelligence models to several new names emerging within the industry. Following the introduction of a new feature called “Operator” by both OpenAI and Claude, Microsoft recently unveiled a new feature for Copilot Studio.

The tool in question can now create AI agents that can interact, almost autonomously, with websites and desktop applications as if they were tools for automating tasks. They will be allowed to click buttons, select menus, and type into fields on the screen - “if a person can do it, so can an agent,” said Charles Lamanna, Copilot's corporate vice president for business and industry.

This new feature, in essence, will allow Copilot to create agents that can automate data entry, perform market research and process invoices. Undoubtedly, the tool will speed up several work processes, however, it may be risky to entrust it with sensitive tasks.
