Another OpenAI Researcher Quit—and Said He’s ‘Pretty Terrified’.

Several researchers formerly employed by OpenAI, one of the leading companies in the AI sector, have recently made the decision to resign and subsequently leave the company - if not the environment itself. In this case it is Steven Adler, a former security researcher who shared his sad opinion on X.

‘I'm honestly quite terrified of the pace of development of artificial intelligence these days.’ Thinking about the future, Adler seems to take a rather fatalistic view, wondering whether humanity will make it to a real future before artificial intelligence consumes human existence.

According to the researcher, artificial intelligence is a rather risky tool with a potentially disastrous downside. He reiterates, moreover, that the development of this technology is frighteningly too fast, and companies are not using the correct methods to proceed responsibly.
