Over time, platforms dedicated to the professional-work environment have also been targeted by artificial intelligence. In the case of LinkedIn, a social networking web service dedicated to the development of professional contacts, some particularly peculiar users seem to have appeared recently.

Adorned with the famous #OpenToWork frame, these accounts present themselves as the perfect candidates, claiming that they ‘don't need coffee breaks, meet deadlines and outperform any social media team you've ever worked with - guaranteed’. In addition, they seem to happily play up their non-human identity, pointing out how human experts prefer to use excuses rather than do their job.

A Linkedin spokesperson recently addressed the issue, explaining that it is unacceptable that users of the platform cannot trust that they are communicating with a real person, considering the basic purpose of the service itself. Following the discovery of the problem, two accounts have already been suspended.
