OnlyFans creators, pay close attention to your accounts. According to research conducted by a specialised team of the security platform ‘Veriti’, a new trend is spreading within the cybercriminal environment: several malicious people are targeting OF profiles, with the intention of ‘infecting’ them.
The aforementioned platform is often the victim of cyber attacks, as the contents within it are the perfect subject for money extortion - by cross-checking OF profiles and any stolen data databases, hackers manage to get into the accounts and take control of them. Then, by implementing a certain tool, the criminals in question contaminate the account with the ‘Lumma Stealer’ malware.
The latter is a virus that specialises in stealing passwords, cookies, two-factor authentication codes and credit card information; in addition, Lumma Stealer is also able to download further malware onto the infected device.
