In a single lifetime, it's impossible to listen to half of all the music on this planet. Thanks to Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music, most internet users can listen to whatever they like at the click of a button. However, this does not mean that all the music created and distributed on Earth is currently available online.
Many songs live out their days hidden in the recesses of memory, in the dark corners of attics or the cellars of record companies, waiting to see the light again. Rob Johnson, a 41-year-old British man, lives a life divided in two: during the day he works in the business development of a London law firm, when night falls he devotes his time to digging through the meanders of the past to unearth forgotten music, then virtually ‘chasing’ the music studios responsible.
As a true music industry hero, Johnson is responsible for releasing more than 700 releases, including tracks by Sting, Cher and Annie Lennox.
