Nvidia Sued for Scraping YouTube After 404 Media Investigation.

Among the articles presented during last week's publication, we devoted space to a text concerning unethical decisions made by the US technology company Nvidia, published by 404 Media. Today, we bring you the continuation of what we reported in the previous post.

Following the article mentioned, Youtuber David Millette filed a lawsuit against the company in question last Wednesday, suing it for violating California's unfair competition law. To train the company's new AI, in fact, Nvidia decided to scrape content from YouTube and feed it to Cosmos, the new AI created to artificially generate videos.

The lawsuit emphasises how the company enriched itself through the work of others and broke federal labour laws. Nvidia's response focused on how it is ‘completely legal, and even encouraged, to use third-party content to create new and transformative works.’
