First of all, who are the big seven tech companies? We are talking about the giants of the tech market, those who have ruled the industry for years now: Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Nvidia, Alphabet, Meta and Tesla. However, recently the big seven have entered 'correction territory', which means that their combined share prices are down more than 10% from their peak on 10 July.
As mentioned in recent articles, the artificial intelligence environment seems to be in a rather unusual situation: the fascination for this technology is waning, as is interest on the part of the average user, who is gradually moving away from the sector. Moreover, the recent investments in AI made by the aforementioned companies now appear as uncertain moves - it is feared that they will not bear the desired fruit.
In any case, it's important to emphasise how unpredictable the technology market is; what is worrying today could be foolish fear tomorrow. Should we expect more breakthroughs in the field of artificial intelligence in the coming year? Probably yes, and they will once again change the entire industry.
