The impact that artificial intelligence has on those who use it on a daily basis is fundamentally unquestionable: whether it be emotional influences dictated by the misuse of ipperrealistic deepfakes or difficulties in maintaining attention as a result of the profound change in online content, it can now be said that the rise of this technology has brought certainly unexpected consequences.

The idea of 'cognitiohazards' has been explored over and over again within the literary world of the past years, such as in David Langford's short story 'BLIT', and in more current media, more specifically in the SCP collective fiction project. The term mentioned describes an idea whose mere thought can be harmful - could this danger, however, really exist?

Considering the current situation, it is possible that in the years to come, we'll have to face a 'cognitohazard' particularly difficult to eradicate: the human mind struggles every day to recognise artificially generated content, a point could be reached where anything seemingly realistic will be treated as certain reality.
