As is evident from the incessant news reports on a daily basis, major companies in the artificial intelligence sector disproportionately use any kind of photograph, work or image that can be found on the Internet to train their AI systems. This means that huge amounts of copyright-protected content is included within this material.

For months now, digital artists, performers, writers and actors have been fighting to have their works respected, as they are rightly protected by Copyright - without getting much attention from these big companies.

However, the situation may change soon. On Tuesday, a bill that would force these large companies to make public the protected material they use to create their AI generative models was presented to the US Congress.
