Vans, Supreme owner VF Corp. says personal data stolen and orders impacted in suspected ransomware attack.

VF corp, the parent company of Vans, Supreme and The North Face, recently reported a misfortune that occurred at the most influential time of the year. During the weeks leading up to Christmas, the company was the victim of a serious cyber attack.

As a result of this unfortunate development, the companies involved are now finding it difficult to handle orders that have been placed in the last few days - all of which are, of course, gift-related. 

More precisely, the attack in question took place on 13 December: the attackers acted by encrypting some computer systems and stealing company data, including customers' personal data. The motive, the impact and the full nature of the incident are still unclear to investigators - as is the identity of the perpetrators.
