‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ Giant To Shrink Human Workforce as It Goes All-in on AI.

The company behind the slogan "Buy Now, Pay Later," a phrase that is currently haunting any online payment process, came under the spotlight during the first days of December. Klarna, a Swedish fintech company, has recently gained worldwide attention by offering its payment processing services for the e-commerce industry.

Klarna's CEO recently instituted a hiring freeze (outside of engineers) saying he expects that many tasks and duties within the company could become AI responsibilities in the near future. He stated, in fact, that the company will investigate all possible AI capabilities before reviewing what potential "real people" requirements they might need.

Both CEO and employees expect, in light of what was said, that the company will undergo natural downsizing as workers are removed without being replaced, at least not by other humans.
