Sam Altman Out at OpenAI ‘Effective Immediately’.

Over the past weekend, surprising news shocked the world of artificial intelligence. After two years at the company, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will leave the company following a decision made by the board. 

The situation is not yet fully public; it appears that this need for change arose after a deliberative review of past communications made by Altman himself. From what the internet gathered, the decision appears to have been made recently: Mira Murati, the company's Chief Technology Officer, will serve as CEO until a permanent replacement is found.
