During last week, YouTube announced an experimental feature called "Dream Track"; still in the testing phase, this artificial intelligence-based tool allows users to create songs through short descriptions regarding lyrical content and mood.

As it is still in its infancy, only 100 users currently have access to the tool, for which nine artists have given permission for the use of their voices, including Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, T-Pain and Sia.
The results generated by Dream Track still lack refinement, sounding more like low-quality MP3 tracks full of digital artifacts.

YouTube's head of music said the tool is designed to "test, learn, get feedback and listen to ideas" from artists and viewers.
