Since the birth of photography, it has always been said that "the camera does not lie": whether it is unflattering light, wrinkles, blemishes or imperfections, you can be sure that any flaw will be immortalized through the photographic act. With the development of technology, in the meantime, various softwares dedicated to image alteration have sprung up, alleviating most people's fear of seeing themselves through an overly realistic mirror.

The new smartphones released by Google, the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro, go beyond the typical alteration offered by most softwares dedicated to image editing. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the "Magic Editor" feature of both models is capable of altering the expressions of photographed subjects, as well as providing the ability to move, resize and delete unwanted elements in the shot.

In addition, these features are not exclusive to photographs taken with the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro: any image can be subjected to Magic Editor edits.
