The famous strike that began in May sees Hollywood as the setting for the events; after a long period punctuated by strikes and protests, it seems that the situation is reaching new potential developments.

For months now, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) has been in conflict with another major organization, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), regarding the use of artificial intelligence within the creative process used at studios and, of paramount importance, the management of workers' compensation in the industry.

Recently, the WGA stated that it has come to an agreement together with its counterpart, and is awaiting the finalization of the latter. Once this step in the process is completed, the Negotiating Committee will vote on whether to recommend it to the union's board and management for full approval.

Unfortunately, the SAG-AFTRA actors' union strike has not yet been resolved.
