Stronger copyright protection of cultural products promised

Given recent developments in Artificial Intelligence, it is understandable that the protection of cultural property has become a priority for those in power. Recently, to prevent any misuse, or unregulated use, of Chinese cultural items, four Chinese government departments have mobilized to strengthen Copyright enforcement.

The intention mainly concerns museums, art galleries and libraries, with increased supervision of audiobook and culture-sharing platforms.

The campaign began recently and will end during November; it will also intensify efforts to stop piracy on e-commerce platforms.
