Nintendo Files Patents for Link's Abilities In 'Tears of the Kingdom'.

"The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom", the latest title in the famous and eponymous saga, has garnered considerable success since its launch weekend in mid-May. Nintendo, the giant behind the video game in question, has recently come under the spotlight, filing patents for the abilities of Link, the protagonist, introduced in the aforementioned title.

The fact that the company pays special attention to the protection and preservation of its works is nothing new, although this is the first time it has decided to patent such an un-"concrete" concept as the abilities under consideration: Ultrahand and Fuse (in addition to the loading screens).

Nintendo has officially filed 31 patents, most of which cover various game mechanics, as mentioned earlier.
