Last March, the Zoom platform changed parts of its terms of use, but few people noticed and the situation did not cause a stir.

Recently, a series of screenshots figuring the section in question began making the rounds on the Internet, causing panic and generating fury among users. Within the mentioned paragraphs, it states that users consent to the company's use, collection and storage of service-generated (and user-generated) data for any purpose, including "training of algorithms and models."

To cool things down, a platform representative clarified the situation, explaining that the decision is always up to the user: there is an opt-in setting that allows administrators to choose whether or not meeting data is used for AI.
