Meta, the parent company of Facebook, recently launched the Threads platform, its own Twitter clone. The application is a clear response to the mass flight of users from the platform of the famous entrepreneur Elon Musk, whose transphobia and racism is driving more and more social media users away.

The advantage for Meta lies in its ability to tap into the 1.6 billion users it already has on Instagram, using a devious and manipulative tactic: the two platforms are so radically connected that if a user deletes their Threads account, their Instagram profile will also be removed.
