"If you create something that is even more aesthetically pleasing, what's wrong with that?" Nicolai Tangen, the chief investor of the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund, does not seem to be concerned about the impact of artificial intelligence on his own collection of paintings, as well as part of his profession.
"Because of AI there will be a lot of stranded assets, if you are on the wrong side you will be decimated quickly. So I think in the next few months we will start to see the victims of this phenomenon; stock prices will be skimmed. It's such a quick phenomenon." Tangen is less calm about the impact artificial intelligence will have on the more than 9,000 companies in which the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund invests.
According to prolific art collector Nicolai Tangen, in the end it is just "a matter of mindset."
