Worried About Sending Your Data to a Chatbot? 'PrivateGPT' Is Here

Now there is an alternative for all those who are frightened by the idea of disclosing personal information to an online chatbot: PrivateGPT is an open-source model that allows users to ask questions based on their documents without an Internet connection.  

The service runs locally on the device used and requires the download of an open-source Large Language Model (LLM) called gpt4all. Afterwards, users are asked to place all relevant documents in a directory, so that the model can 'ingest' all the data taken into consideration.

The developer stated that he created this application after seeing how crucial the use of ChatGPT is within workplaces.
