AI Is Tearing Wikipedia Apart

Following recent developments in the field of generative Artificial Intelligence, even the giant Wikipedia is struggling. The community is divided into two factions: some disdain the use of large language models for content creation, while others believe they could be a valuable resource to implement within the platform's workflow.

The great capacity of Artificial Intelligences to generate humanly plausible texts, although often prone to contain serious content errors, or even completely invented sources, is well known.

Such a service can be used within a personal or cooking blog, where scientific or historical accuracy is not required; but it is completely unthinkable to use it within a platform of such importance as Wikipedia.
