Dark and Darker developer uses ChatGPT AI tool in bid to prove it hasn't infringed copyright

Following an accusation of copyright infringement by Korean developer Nexon, the mastermind behind Dark and Darker has decided to use unconventional means to defend himself against the insinuation. Nexon claims that Ironmace, the developer of the game in question, used "P3", a game under development by Nexon, as a prototype.

To defend itself from the accusation, Ironmace has decided to make use of Artificial Intelligence ChatGPT, asking the service to create and develop the concept for a "generic PVP Dungeon Crawling game". As intended, ChatGPT created an extremely detailed description for the prompt it was provided, including highlights from both "Dark and Darker" and "P3."

The indictment loses credibility in the face of such a development, especially when one takes into consideration the fact that the only evidence present of a potential copyright infringement by Ironmace is merely circumstantial.
