Gaming Giant Sony Files Patent to Enable NFT Transferability Across Games and Consoles

In late March, gaming giant Sony filed a patent to make NFTs transferable and usable within various games, consoles, and devices.

The license specifically states that players would be able to transfer their in-game assets from one console to another, as well as from one game to another, further including computers, phones, tablets, Smart-TVs and virtual reality headsets. 

Furthermore, this type of transferability would be cross-generational, thus also including future consoles not yet in planning. The patent also offers the possibility of making the exchange available within different gaming ecosystems, thus including the Xbox world.
