35,000 PayPal accounts compromised

In these hours, PayPal is sending a notice to about 35,000 users concerning unauthorised access to as many online accounts of the well-known online payment platform. The method, according to the platform's statement, is not due to a system breach but to access accounts using the same credentials (user names/passwords) used for other services.

Given the number of artists using PayPal's service, we can suggest these guidelines

• create and use different credentials for access to payment services
• activate the two-factor authentication service for access

At this point, we also add the suggestion to change the current PayPal platform access credentials as soon as possible, as well as those of other services that have the same password in use.
