From established artistic forms such as illustration, music and books, new forms of cultural sharing have spread within a few years thanks to next-generation video and content. User-generated content (UGC) generates a turnover of billions of dollars a year. However, the rights of content creators are less and less protected. From misuse of material to economic exploitation without compensation, how have UGC platforms handled these issues?
