Ashley Crossland, a graphic designer from Cardigan, became one of the most commercially successful artists in Wales overnight. After designing 7,200 individual works, these were sold and purchased as NFT, enabling him to earn nearly £500,000.
In this case, selling the artworks through NFT allowed Crossland to protect their copyright, with the tokens acting as certificates of authenticity.
The artist explained the reason for his choice, saying that he has always liked art and technology, and that his attraction to the NFT space is justified by the possibility of digital collecting, which was not previously possible.
